The ruling party secured wins in 12 out of the 16 constituencies contested across 12 states, strengthening its hold in the political space.

The announcement came through a statement released on Sunday by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga. According to the results declared, APC emerged victorious in 12 constituencies, while the All Progressives Grand Alliance won two. The Peoples Democratic Party and the New Nigeria Peoples Party secured one seat each.

Tinubu praised the Independent National Electoral Commission for conducting the polls with minimal hitches and largely without violence. He also extended commendation to APC’s new National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, crediting him with steering the party to its first major victory since assuming office.
The President congratulated APC governors, leaders, and party members for their efforts in securing the wins. He noted that the success reflected unity within the party and the acceptance of its candidates by the electorate.
