President Bola Tinubu has condoled with the family of Alhaji Isyaku Ibrahim, founder of Mighty Jets Football Club, who died on Saturday in Abuja at the age of 88.

The late Ibrahim, a native of Wamba in Nasarawa State, was widely regarded as a businessman, politician, and sports promoter.

The president, in a message released through his media team on Sunday, described Ibrahim as a respected elder statesman whose influence cut across politics, business, and community life. He noted that Ibrahim’s legacy would be remembered in Nigeria’s political history and sporting landscape.

Ibrahim was a prominent figure in the Second Republic as a chieftain of the defunct National Party of Nigeria. During the country’s return to democratic rule in 1998, he played a key role in the formation of the Peoples Democratic Party alongside other notable politicians.
