In an Instagram post, Emmanson thanked her friends and supporters for their prayers and love. She said she needed rest and medical care before sharing her full account of the incident.

Her release came after the Federal Government ordered that charges against her be withdrawn. Minister of Aviation Festus Keyamo said the decision followed a review of the case, appeals from concerned Nigerians, and remorse shown by those involved.

Keyamo also confirmed that Ibom Air agreed to lift the lifetime flying ban earlier imposed on Emmanson. The Airline Operators of Nigeria had initially endorsed the ban, but it was reversed after the minister’s intervention.

The incident has stirred public debate over how airlines handle passenger disputes, with calls for a formal investigation into Emmanson’s treatment in custody.

Ibom Air has yet to respond to her latest remarks but previously said the matter was being addressed internally, adding that passenger and staff safety remains a priority.

Emmanson is expected to give her own version of events once she has fully recovered.
