Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate in the 2023 elections, has donated N15 million to support education in Bauchi State.

He gave N10 million to Malikiyya College of Health and Social Sciences to boost its nursing programme and N5 million to an Islamic school in Yelwa for development and student welfare.

Obi visited Malikiyya College to interact with students and management, stressing the vital role nurses play in the country’s healthcare system. He said nurses are often the first point of contact for patients, especially in rural areas where doctors may not be available. He urged continued investment in training health workers to improve medical services nationwide.
