Nigeria’s D’Tigress have advanced to the semi-finals of the 2025 Women’s Afrobasket after thrashing Cameroon 83–47 in Thursday’s quarter-final clash in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire.
The win extends D’Tigress’ streak to six consecutive semi-final appearances in the tournament, maintaining a perfect run since 2013.
Nigeria dominated the game from tip-off, taking a 21–9 lead in the first quarter. They stayed in control through the second quarter, going into halftime with a 41–29 advantage.
The third quarter saw Nigeria tighten their grip, scoring 25 points while Cameroon managed just two. The final quarter was routine, sealing a 36-point win for the reigning champions.
Amy Okoronkwo led the scoring with 18 points, while Victoria Balogun and Nicole Enabosi added 12 points each.
D’Tigress will face Senegal in the semi-final on Saturday as they continue their push for a fifth straight Afrobasket title.
