Lockdown Order: Wike Demolishes Two Hotels In Rivers  …Declares PDP LG Youth Leader wanted

The Rivers State Government has demolished two hotels in the state allegedly for violating the lockdown order in the state.

Governor Nyesom Wike personally supervised the demolition of the structures in company with some government officials on Sunday.

The affected hotels are Prodest Hotel in Alode and Etemeteh Hotel in Onne – both in Eleme Local Government Area (LGA) of the state.

Patrons of Prodest Homes Motel, Eleme were said to have injured and seized property of Covid-19 regulation officials who went to enforce regulations on the management of Covid-19 in the state.

The hotels were demolished three days after Governor Wike directed officials of the Local Government Task Force to identify hotels operating during the lockdown for demolition.

The governor, who inaugurated the task force on Thursday last week at the Government House in Port Harcourt, had also asked the officials to identify erring beer parlours.

He warned that those who fail to comply with the government’s directives on measures put in place to curb the spread of coronavirus in Rivers would face the consequences.

Two days ago, owner of Prodest Homes Motel, Eleme, Princewill Osaroejiji, who is the Youth Leader of the People’s Democratic Party,(PDP) in Eleme Local Goverment Area was declared wanted by Rivers State Goverment over some unsepecified criminal activities.

The State Commissioner of Information and Communications, Pastor Paulinus Nsirim in a terse statement Saturday night said the State Goverment has placed a five million Naira bounty on him.

The statement read:
“Rivers State Government has declared the Youth Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Eleme Local Government Area, Mr Princewill Osaroejiji, wanted for various criminal activities.”

“A Five Million Naira reward will be given to anyone who will give law enforcement agencies useful information that will lead to his arrest.”

The Commissioner also said two hotels in Eleme and Onne, would be demolished by the authorities for flouting the directives of Governor Nyesom Wike on the closure of hotels in the State.

    Nigerian with different tribes and their culture. The South South people are rascals and radicals. Wike must follow constitution al procedures. He is playing to gallery.
