However, on Tuesday, the distressing video of Dalep’s execution was shared online by SITE Intelligence Group, an organization that tracks the activities of terrorists around the world.

In the video, the masked executioner, said the execution was to avenge some “bloodshed” by Christians in Plateau State.

Standing behind his victim with a pistol, the executioner chanted some words in Arabic before transiting to Hausa to say, “In particular, this is one among the Christians from Plateau State.

“We are saying to Christians, we have not forgotten what you have done to our parents and ancestors and we are telling all Christians around the world, we have not forgotten and will not stop.

“We must avenge the bloodshed that has been done like this one…”

Meanwhile, the execution of Dalep has thrown his family into “unbearable pain”, said a relation, Mr. Satmak Da’ar in a telephone conversation.

However, the family is still analyzing the video for further decisions, he said.

“No mourning is therefore ongoing until the video is authenticated, said Mr. Da’ar.

The Mupun Community Development Association has however called the “devastating” act “devilish”.

“As MUCDA, we are deeply pained that this has also come to our door steps directly as our own brothers from other cultures on the plateau have also had a share at one point in time of this devilish and inhumane act of taking people’s lives,” the group said in a press statement on Wednesday through its spokesman, Kenzy Ngupar.

The group has scheduled a crucial meeting on Saturday to specially discuss the execution.
