Armed thugs belonging to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State killed one person and injured not less than five persons during the Local Government elections held in the State today.

In Ikere Ekiti, a man identified as Dotun Kosedake was shot dead while Ayeni Olumide (Salvation), Ayeni Gbenga (Special) and Abiodun Bukola were wounded and are in critical condition at the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital, Ado Ekiti.
In Ifaki Ekiti, Kayode Babalola (Obidyke), PDP Councillorship candidate for Ifaki Ward 2, Ido/Osi Local Government was attacked and brutally wounded.
