The African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship candidate in Abia State, Kalu Kalu, has challenged Governor Alex Otti to produce evidence of any project completed by his administration in Ohafia Local Government Area.
Kalu, who is from Ohafia, said he would withdraw from the 2027 governorship election if Otti’s administration could identify and show evidence of even one project executed in the local government.
He made the challenge during an interview on Arise TV’s The Morning Show on Friday.
Kalu claimed that Ohafia Local Government Area had received more than N16 billion in allocations over the past three and a half years. He, however, alleged that there had been no visible project executed by the state government in the area during the period.
The ADC candidate called on the television station to visit Ohafia and ask Otti and members of his administration to identify any project completed for residents of the local government.
Kalu said he was prepared to abandon his governorship ambition if even one state government project could be identified in Ohafia.
His challenge comes as political activities intensify in Abia ahead of the 2027 governorship election, with candidates and political parties seeking to present their records and positions to voters across the state.
