Isaac Fayose, younger brother of former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose, has criticised the All Progressives Congress (APC) over the appointment of Nyesom Wike as campaign coordinator for the Federal Capital Territory and Rivers State.

In a video shared on his verified Facebook page, Fayose described the APC’s decision as a sign of confusion within the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.

He claimed that the appointment would not affect the political activities of supporters of Peter Obi and the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC).
Fayose said Wike’s selection for the campaign role was announced shortly after one of his videos, suggesting that the development was connected to his earlier comments about the APC’s political activities.

He also claimed that five APC governors were supporting the NDC ahead of the 2027 elections, although he did not provide evidence to substantiate the allegation.
Fayose further claimed that the political groups backing Obi had enough support in Rivers State and the FCT to challenge the APC in the 2027 elections.
He maintained that the appointment of Wike would not alter what he described as the existing political support for the NDC in the two areas.
His comments come as political parties and their supporters intensify preparations and mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
