The new road links key communities in the Federal Capital Territory and improves movement between Kuje and Gwagwalada.

Represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima, the President said the project would improve security, ease transportation and support business activities.

He noted that farmers, traders, students and workers would benefit from faster and safer travel.

The administration said the road forms part of efforts to extend development beyond Abuja city centre.

The project includes streetlights, drainage systems and pedestrian facilities designed to improve safety and boost economic activity in surrounding communities.

FCT Minister Nyesom Wike said the road was approved after complaints from residents and traditional rulers.

He added that the first phase has been completed, while the second phase is expected to be delivered by December 2026.
