The exercise served as the party’s formal endorsement of Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election after earlier backing from governors and party leaders.

Across states including Gombe, Rivers, Bayelsa, Edo, Osun and Kaduna, Tinubu secured nearly all votes cast while Osifo managed little or no support in most areas.

APC officials described the exercise as peaceful and transparent, with party members turning out massively in support of the President’s second-term ambition.

Governors and party officials who supervised the exercise said the results showed confidence in Tinubu’s leadership and the direction of the ruling party.

In Lagos, the President praised the process as an example of internal democracy and grassroots participation within the APC structure.

While the APC closed ranks around Tinubu, the opposition ADC continued struggling to settle disagreements over its own presidential ticket.

Talks on adopting a consensus candidate among Atiku Abubakar, Rotimi Amaechi and Mohammed Hayatu-Deen remained unresolved ahead of the party’s primary scheduled for Monday.
