The action followed rumours of bandit activity spreading near the Ajawa area.

The incident began after unverified reports claimed armed men had invaded nearby communities, sparking fear among residents.

Parents forced their way into the school compound and hurriedly evacuated pupils, ignoring assurances from school authorities.

Teachers tried to calm the situation and contacted security officials, who later clarified that the violence in the area was linked to a local clash and not a bandit invasion.

Despite this, panic had already spread across the community.

The fear comes amid recent attacks and abductions in parts of Oyo State, which have left residents on edge.

Academic activities were disrupted as families kept children at home while concerns over safety continue to rise.
