Wike Praises Abuja Projects
Nyesom Wike has praised the speed and quality of ongoing projects across Abuja, saying the federal government is focused on extending development to satellite towns.
He made the remarks during an inspection of infrastructure projects in the capital city.
The minister disclosed that the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre annex was almost completed and would be inaugurated during activities marking President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s third year in office.
He also inspected newly completed roads and streetlight installations around the city.
Wike said communities around Zuba and other outskirts would soon benefit from improved road networks.
According to him, opening up rural and satellite areas remains part of the administration’s broader development plan for the FCT.
He also commended contractors for meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards.
On complaints about Area Council allocations, the minister said many councils spend large amounts on workers’ salaries and teachers’ welfare.
