APC Delegates Stranded In Lagos
In Lagos, members of the All Progressives Congress were left stranded at airports and motor parks while trying to travel to Abuja for the party’s national convention.
The situation followed reports that mobilisation arrangements linked to Babajide Sanwo-Olu were not completed on time, leaving many delegates unable to secure transport.
Some reportedly missed flights, while others could not cope with the sudden rise in transport costs.
Witnesses said several delegates were seen at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport and different motor parks, waiting for a way to travel as the convention approached.
The convention, set to hold at Eagle Square, is expected to draw thousands of party members from across the country and shape internal decisions ahead of the 2027 elections.
Despite the setback, some supporters and political figures have stepped in to assist with logistics, while party members remain hopeful the event will proceed smoothly.
