The company explained that the shortage has lowered the amount of electricity available on the national grid, affecting how much power is distributed to homes and businesses.

This has led to noticeable outages in many areas.

It noted that the situation is not limited to one provider, as other distribution companies are also receiving less energy due to the nationwide issue.

Customers have continued to feel the impact through reduced supply.

Ikeja Electric apologised for the disruption and assured customers that it is working to distribute the available power fairly while efforts continue to stabilise supply.
