OPL 245 Exposes Tinubu’s Govt Propaganda – Atiku
The media office of Atiku Abubakar has criticised the Federal Government of Nigeria over its handling of the OPL 245 dispute, saying recent developments show the matter is far from settled.
The reaction follows a fresh legal move by Malabu Oil and Gas Limited.
The group said ongoing court cases, including those before the Supreme Court and Federal High Court, prove that claims of a final resolution were premature.
It also raised concerns that key stakeholders were not involved in the reported agreement tied to the oil block.
According to the statement, the situation points to deeper issues around transparency and due process, warning that unresolved legal matters should not be presented as concluded.
It added that handling of national assets must follow clear legal procedures.
The government, however, maintains that the agreement marks the end of a long dispute and will strengthen Nigeria’s economy, with officials saying the deal reflects a commitment to resolving conflicts through dialogue.
