Wike Arrives At Edo With Major Welcome
The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has arrived in Benin City, Edo State, where he was received by Governor Monday Okpebholo and Senator Adams Oshiomhole.
The visit took place on Monday following an invitation from the Edo State Government.
Wike is in the state to hand over 54 construction machines to the 18 local government areas.
The equipment is expected to boost road works, drainage projects and other grassroots infrastructure across the councils.
Governor Okpebholo described the visit as a step towards stronger cooperation between the state and federal authorities, while Oshiomhole joined other officials in welcoming the minister at the airport.
The distribution of the equipment is seen as part of efforts to improve development at the local level and strengthen service delivery across Edo State.
