In a statement, JAMB explained that its guidelines do not require any candidate to take off religious clothing while registering.

It stressed that registration centres were directed to respect the rights and beliefs of all applicants.

The board said it remains committed to conducting a smooth and inclusive process for candidates seeking admission into tertiary institutions.

It added that any centre found acting outside approved rules would be sanctioned.

JAMB urged the public to disregard misleading claims and rely on official updates from the board as the registration continues nationwide.
