Adeleke Explains Osun Tax Policy
Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has said his administration’s tax reform policy is not designed to place extra pressure on residents.
He explained that the policy is meant to create a fairer system where everyone pays according to capacity.
The governor said the reforms are aimed at correcting imbalances in the existing tax structure, which he noted has allowed some to avoid their responsibilities while others carry the burden.
According to him, fairness remains the guiding principle.
Adeleke added that the government is mindful of the economic realities facing citizens and will not introduce measures that worsen their hardship.
He said feedback from residents is being considered as the reforms take shape.
He urged the public to support the policy, assuring them that funds generated would be used to improve infrastructure and public services across the state.
