The visit followed his departure from Nigeria on December 28, 2025, when he left for Paris before heading to the summit, which took place from January 11 to January 15. Tinubu also attended the same event last year.
The agreement was signed in Abu Dhabi by officials from both countries in the presence of President Tinubu and UAE leader Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

It allows many Nigerian products to enter the UAE market without duties and opens new doors for business, investment, and technology cooperation.
During the summit, Tinubu said Nigeria plans to raise up to 30 billion dollars each year for climate and green projects, expand power supply, and support clean energy growth, while a joint Nigeria UAE investment meeting is expected to hold in Lagos next month.
