Former Imo State Lawmaker Freed After Abduction

A former member of the Imo State House of Assembly, Hon. Ngozi Ogbu, who represented Okigwe Constituency, has regained his freedom after days in captivity.

The Imo State Police Command confirmed his release in a statement issued on Thursday. Ogbu was set free on Wednesday night, though details of the circumstances surrounding his freedom remain unclear.

The former legislator had been abducted last week by unidentified gunmen, sparking tension in the Okigwe area and concerns among political circles in the state. His release has since eased fears within the community.
