Shettima Represents Tinubu At Buhari Granddaughter Wedding In Kaduna

Vice President Kashim Shettima on Saturday attended the wedding fatiha of Halima Junaid, granddaughter of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari, and Walid Muazu, son of the Iyan Katagum, in Kaduna.

The ceremony took place at Yahaya Road Juma’at Mosque, Ungwan Rimi, with Shettima standing in for the bride, while Alhaji Shehu Muazu represented the groom.

He was accompanied by Deputy Chief of Staff to the President, Senator Ibrahim Hadejia, Minister of Environment, Alhaji Balarabe Lawal, Minister of Transportation, Senator Sa’idu Alkali, and Rep. Lawal Zannah.

Other dignitaries at the wedding included former Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami (SAN), former EFCC Chairman, Abdulrasheed Bawa, Yusuf Muhammadu Buhari, former DSS Director-General, Yusuf Bichi, and several prominent personalities within and outside Kaduna.

After the ceremony, Shettima visited the residence of the former president, where he met Buhari’s widow, Aisha Muhammadu Buhari. He conveyed President Bola Tinubu’s greetings and assured the family of continued support.

“President Buhari will forever remain dear to both President Tinubu and myself. May Allah grant him eternal rest and reward him with Aljannah,” Shettima said while consoling the family.

The Vice President also paid a condolence visit to APC National Vice Chairman (North West), Alhaji Garba Datti Muhammad, who recently lost a son. He noted that President Tinubu specifically directed him to represent him both at the wedding and to extend sympathy to the grieving party chieftain.
