Speaking to reporters after a meeting with the President at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Tuesday, Soludo, a former Central Bank governor, said the country needs urgent structural changes to drive national development. He stressed that his support for Tinubu goes beyond party politics, describing the reforms as a step toward restoring Nigeria to a path of sustainable growth.

Soludo also outlined his administration’s efforts to tackle insecurity in Anambra, explaining that his government is adopting both kinetic and non-kinetic measures. While security forces are handling armed threats, the state is focusing on youth empowerment and job creation to address the root causes of unrest.
The meeting comes months after Tinubu’s visit to Anambra in May, where he inaugurated major infrastructure projects. Political observers see the renewed engagement between the two leaders as significant ahead of the November 8 governorship election, in which Soludo will seek re-election under the All Progressives Grand Alliance.
