The area, home to former governor Emeka Ihedioha and other prominent politicians, has recently been the target of political moves aimed at drawing Mbaise into the ADC.

The meeting, attended by traditional rulers, party officials, security personnel, and over 100 residents, also featured the formal reception of new members who defected to the APC.

Ogu told attendees, “The APC is our home and our collective future is brighter within its fold. Let no political coalition or propaganda make you doubt our direction.”

Speaking on behalf of the defectors, Hon. Mrs. Chinyere Chukwuocha pledged loyalty to the party and vowed to mobilise more supporters for Governor Hope Uzodimma’s administration.
