In a statement shared on his verified X account, the Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate accused the Tinubu administration of worsening Nigeria’s economic conditions, leaving millions unable to afford basic needs like food.

Obi recalled a 2022 campaign event in Delta State, where Tinubu dismissed concerns about statistics and promised to ensure food was on every Nigerian’s table. Obi now says that promise has fallen apart, as the country slides deeper into poverty and food insecurity.
