President Jacob Zuma of South Africa today, survived another Vote of No Confidence which would have removed him from office.

177 members of the House of Representatives voted Yes while 198 voted No. Nine members abstained, Voting was done through secret ballot.

The voting shows that the anti-Zuma coalition got some ANC votes but not enough to get a majority to remove the president.
With today’s development, Mr. Zuma has now survived eight no-confidence votes in his eight years in office
