Governor Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger State has met with President Muhammadu Buhari in a private audience .
The meeting followed the elapse of the two weeks time frame given for the commencement of emergency intervention by the relevant Federal authorities on Federal roads in the State.
It will be recalled that the State Governor had met with some relevant critical stakeholders at the Federal level and agreed on a temporal re-openning of the State owned roads that were closed down to articulated vehicles while emergency intervention work was to be carried out.

“I went back to the President to remind him of the agreement reached two weeks ago on the closure of Minna-Bida road and also inform him of my peoples agitation over the collapse of two bridges on MINNA-BIDA road”.

However the Governor has directed the Infrastructural, Monitoring and Implementation Committee to work out modalities on the closure of the roads again if nothing positive happens on the part of the Federal Government in the shortest time.
