BREAKING: FG reverses suspension of Ogunbiyi Rural Electrification Agency MD …Accepts Her Resignation

The federal government has reversed the suspension of Managing Director of Rural Electricity Agency (REA) Mrs. Damilola Ogunbiyi.

The federal government, however, accepted her resignation to enable her take up her new role in the United Nation.

Ogunbiyi was suspended over alleged malpractices on December 24.

Prior to her appointment in 2017, Ogunbiyi was the general manager of the Lagos State Electricity Board.

While still on suspension, President, Muhammadu Buhari had appointed Mr Ahmad Salihijo Ahmad to replace Ogunbiyi as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Rural Electrification Agency.

Ahmad Salihijo Ahmad is the first son of the late owner of Afri-Project Corsotium, Ahmad Salihijo, Buhari’s foremost consultant when he was the Chairman of the Petroleum (Special) Trust Fund (PTF).
