The Director of the Support Groups Mobilisation Directorate of the 2027 APC Presidential Campaign Council and former Nasarawa State Deputy Governor, Silas Agara, announced the launch of the online registration portal at the national secretariat of the Tinubu Support Group in Abuja on Sunday.

Agara called on all groups and volunteer networks working for Tinubu’s re-election to complete the process before the deadline, whether or not they had previously registered with the APC or other campaign organisations.

He said the exercise would enable the council to verify participating groups, establish their locations and assess their organisational capacity to improve coordination across the country.

According to Agara, the aim is to establish a coordinated mobilisation network with clear structures, accountability and the capacity to support the demands of the forthcoming campaign.

He described support groups as an important link between the party, its campaign organisation and the public, noting that they help communicate government policies and engage citizens on issues affecting them.

Agara added that the directorate would coordinate the groups, improve their capacity and ensure their activities supported the wider objectives of the APC presidential campaign.

He said the mobilisation strategy would focus on the policies and achievements of the Tinubu administration under its Renewed Hope Agenda.

The former deputy governor maintained that the administration had introduced economic and institutional reforms intended to address longstanding challenges and promote sustainable growth.

Among the policies he listed were the removal of the petrol subsidy, the unification of foreign exchange rates, measures to strengthen local government autonomy and tax reforms.

He also mentioned the Nigerian Education Loan Fund, which provides financial support to eligible students, and the Nigerian Consumer Credit Corporation, established to widen access to consumer credit.

Agara further cited the Nigeria Health Sector Renewal Investment Initiative, which he said was supporting improvements in healthcare delivery, strengthening primary healthcare services and expanding access to specialised treatment, including cancer care.

He said support groups were expected to explain the administration’s policies and achievements accurately while paying attention to concerns raised by Nigerians.

Agara urged members to engage respectfully with citizens in their communities, workplaces, markets and neighbourhoods. He also encouraged them to rely on credible information and constructive discussions during their mobilisation activities.

He noted that the 2027 general election would require careful planning, discipline and sustained grassroots engagement, urging the groups to use the registration exercise to improve their coordination before the polls.
