A mini-truck driver from Ado-Ekiti, Adeleye Adeniyi, said he borrowed N3.5m to support the re-election bids of President Bola Tinubu, Senate Leader Opeyemi Bamidele, and Ekiti State House of Assembly member Steve Fatoba.
Adeniyi, popularly known as Online Loan Man for BAO, made the disclosure in an interview with journalists circulating on Friday. He displayed a cardboard cheque from Wema Bank showing N2m pledged for Tinubu, N1m for Bamidele and N500,000 for Fatoba.
The driver said he was prepared to campaign for the three politicians ahead of the forthcoming elections because he believed their performance in office deserved support.

He explained that he had taken out loans to demonstrate his backing for Tinubu’s second-term ambition and pledged to campaign for the President, including through a song in his support.
Adeniyi also appealed to Nigerians to vote for Tinubu for another term, saying the country would benefit further if the President returned to office.
He said his support was based on his assessment of the administration’s performance and urged fellow citizens to demonstrate their support through their votes.
The driver also praised Bamidele and Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji, citing what he described as their contributions to healthcare, education, electricity and rural infrastructure.
He commended Bamidele for supporting projects that, in his view, reflected effective leadership, adding that the senator’s activities had encouraged him to continue backing the politician.
Adeniyi separately displayed cardboard cheques bearing the amounts he pledged to support the re-election bids of Tinubu, Bamidele and Fatoba.
The latest disclosure follows a similar move in February 2026, when the driver reportedly borrowed money through the digital lending platform OPay to brand a vehicle in support of Oyebanji’s second-term bid.

At the time, Adeniyi, who operates around the BAO Timber Market along Ilawe Road in Ado-Ekiti, said his decision was motivated by his admiration for the governor’s administration.
He also praised Oyebanji and Tinubu over their policies on education, healthcare and citizens’ welfare, while urging residents to support the governor’s re-election campaign.
In the latest video, Adeniyi said he had taken another loan to demonstrate his support for the three politicians ahead of the forthcoming elections.
