2027: INEC Lists Top 10 States By Number Of Registered Voters

Lagos State has the most registered voters in Nigeria ahead of the 2027 general elections, according to the Independent National Electoral Commission.

INEC Chairman, Prof. Joash Amupitan, disclosed the figures on Tuesday during the commission’s World Press Conference in Abuja as part of preparations for the 2027 elections.

Lagos leads the list with 7,488,633 registered voters, followed by Kano State with 6,000,570.

Kaduna State ranks third with 4,000,640 registered voters, while Katsina occupies the fourth position with 3,876,051.

Oyo State is fifth on the list with 3,588,111 registered voters, followed by Delta State with 3,525,988.

Benue State has 3,057,225 registered voters, placing it ahead of Ogun State, which has 3,037,981.

Rivers State has 3,000,734 registered voters, while Bauchi State completes the top 10 with 3,000,047.

The figures provide an indication of the distribution of registered voters across the states ahead of the 2027 general elections.
