Vigilantes Arrest Man Over Alleged Links To Bandits

Vigilantes in Shanono Local Government Area of Kano State have reportedly arrested a man identified as Sulaiman Fulani over allegations that he was inviting bandits into the community to carry out attacks.

The arrest was said to have been carried out by vigilantes operating under the command of Sadiq Mu’azu, the Tsaure area commander in the local government area.

Security expert Bakatsine disclosed the development in a post on X, stating that the arrest took place in Toronya community.

According to the report, local residents accused Fulani of inviting bandits into the area to launch attacks.

The allegation has not been independently verified, and it was not immediately clear whether the suspect had been handed over to the police or another security agency for further investigation.

The arrest comes amid continued security concerns in parts of northern Nigeria, where communities have faced attacks and other forms of criminal activity by armed groups.
