Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah has approved the appointment of 118 individuals as Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants in his administration.

The appointments were announced in a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Chidiebere Onyia, and took effect on September 21, 2026.

Among those appointed are Nollywood actresses Rachael Okonkwo and Eucharia Anunobi.
Okonkwo was appointed Senior Special Assistant on Film and Creative Industry Development, while Anunobi will serve as Special Assistant on Women Mobilisation for the Enugu-North Zone.
The appointments comprise seven Special Advisers, eight Senior Special Assistants and 103 Special Assistants, with responsibilities spread across different areas of governance and community engagement.
The Special Advisers are S.N.C. Nwagu for Conflict Resolution and Mediation; Fidelis Odo for Inter-Governmental Affairs and Co-ordination; Augustine Okoli for Policy Affairs and Analysis; Pedro Nwankwo for Stakeholders Relations and Community Affairs; Chimezie Nkwuo for Economic Development; Vitalis Okonkwo for Grassroots Coordination; and Peter Andy Omeje for Commerce and Business Development.
The Senior Special Assistants include Rachael Okonkwo, Okey Ude, Chinedu Chukwunwike, Peter Chukwujekwu Ogbe, Chukwudi Ozoeluba, Frank Udemezue, Celestine Odenigbo and Obiora Aleke.

Others include Chuma Dilibe for Technology and Innovation, Ugwu Uchenna for Youth Empowerment and Skills Development, Ikerionwu Eze for Digital Innovation, Cordelia Idoko for Gender Co-ordination and Empowerment, Mike Okenwa for Grassroots Sports Development and Wilson Ogbonna for Monitoring and Evaluation.
The list also includes Chukwudi Nwatu for Social Media, Blessing Ugwoke for Women Mobilisation, Chekwube Henry Ogbodo for Youth Mobilisation, Kingsley Chekwube Ude for Media Relations, Chukwudi Ozor for Project Monitoring and Okwudili Onuora for Security Intelligence.
Other portfolios cover agricultural development and food security, energy and power development, health planning, housing and estate development, trade and investment promotion, transportation and infrastructure development, water resources and sanitation, public-private partnerships, anti-corruption and good governance, education reform, legal reform and women affairs.
The appointments represent an expansion of the political and administrative support structure of the Enugu State Government, with the appointees assigned responsibilities across various sectors and areas of public engagement.
