Mujeli, also known as Sarkin Lafagu, was said to have been among those targeted during the attack. The incident was reported by Northwest crisis reporter Bakatsine in a post on X.

The attack has reportedly caused fear among residents of the Kaoje-Lafagu area, with some people said to have abandoned their homes and moved to Bagudo town for safety.

A community source cited in the report also alleged that several members of the Fulani community had been killed in previous attacks in the area, while traditional rulers were reportedly among those targeted.

The source called on the government to take urgent steps to protect residents and investigate the killings.

However, the Kebbi State Police Command had not officially confirmed the reported killing as of the time of filing the report.
