President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke on his victory in the August 15 governorship election, wishing him a successful second term in office.

Tinubu, in a statement issued after the election, said Adeleke’s victory showed that voters in the state remained confident in his leadership.

The President urged the governor to use his renewed mandate to unite the people of Osun State and focus on improving their welfare, regardless of the political parties or candidates they supported during the election.
He called on Adeleke to pursue policies that would promote economic growth, social development and stability across the state during his next four years in office.
Tinubu also commended the other candidates who contested the election, describing their participation as part of the process of strengthening Nigeria’s democratic system.
The President said the outcome of the election reflected the choice made by voters in Osun State and demonstrated the continued resilience of democracy in the country.
He further praised the Independent National Electoral Commission and the security agencies for their roles in conducting what he described as a peaceful and transparent election.
