Governor Abdullahi Sule has taken another step to strengthen his administration by forwarding the names of eight commissioner nominees to the Nasarawa State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation.

The list of nominees was presented during Wednesday’s plenary in Lafia by the Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau, who read a letter from the governor announcing the appointments. The nominees are Muhammad Habeeb Nagogo from Wamba Local Government Area, Ahmed Yakubu Mohammed from Lafia Local Government Area, Hon. Mohammed Baba Shehu from Keffi Local Government Area, Hon. Mohammed Iyimoga from Obi Local Government Area, Adamu Rabecca Kpadji from Wamba Local Government Area, Nawani Aboki from Doma Local Government Area, Jibril Abdullahi Ibrahim, FCNA, from Nasarawa Local Government Area, and Dr. Ashefo Daniel Paul from Lafia Local Government Area.

The appointments form part of the governor’s efforts to strengthen governance and improve service delivery across the state.

Following the announcement, the Speaker directed the Clerk of the House to notify the nominees and request each of them to submit 30 copies of their curriculum vitae in preparation for the screening exercise.
The House fixed Friday, August 7, 2026, for the screening of the commissioner nominees.
Their appointments will only take effect after they are screened and confirmed by the Nasarawa State House of Assembly.
