Oyo State Governor and Allied Peoples Movement (APM) presidential candidate, Seyi Makinde, on Sunday met with former President Olusegun Obasanjo in Abeokuta, Ogun State, alongside former Ekiti State Governor Kayode Fayemi and former Osun State Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola.

The meeting was held behind closed doors at Obasanjo’s Penthouse residence within the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL).

Makinde later confirmed the visit in a post on his Facebook page, stating that the discussions focused on important national issues as political activities ahead of the 2027 general election continue to gather momentum.

According to the Oyo State governor, the delegation also received guidance and advice from the former president during the meeting, describing the discussions as timely in view of the country’s political situation.
