2027: Dickson Vows to Lead NDC Against Federal Might

National Chairman of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Seriake Dickson, has expressed confidence that the party will overcome what he described as “federal might” in the 2027 general elections.

Dickson, a former governor of Bayelsa State, said the party was committed to ensuring that Nigerians freely exercise their voting rights without fear of violence, intimidation or harassment.

In a post shared on his X account, he said the NDC would work to protect the integrity of the electoral process and ensure that every valid vote counts.

He maintained that the party would not accept the use of security personnel or armed groups to intimidate law-abiding citizens during the elections.

Dickson called on supporters to remain watchful and united as preparations for the polls continue, urging them to resist any attempt to undermine the democratic process through intimidation, inducement or violence.

He also expressed confidence that the party had the capacity to overcome political pressure, recalling that similar challenges had been defeated in previous elections.

According to him, he is prepared to lead the party’s efforts throughout the campaign and election period.

The NDC is expected to participate in the 2027 presidential election with Peter Obi as its presidential candidate.
