APC Stronger Than Ever Under My Leadership — Yilwatda

National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, has declared that the ruling party is more united and stronger than it was when he assumed office one year ago.

Yilwatda made the remark in a statement to mark his first anniversary as APC national chairman, where he pointed to the party’s electoral successes and internal restructuring as signs of its continued growth.

He expressed appreciation to President Bola Tinubu, party leaders and members across the country for their support over the past year, describing the period as one focused on strengthening the party and promoting unity.

According to him, the APC spent the last twelve months improving its internal structures, encouraging wider participation and increasing consultations with stakeholders, a move he said had further strengthened the party’s position in Nigeria’s political landscape.

He stated that the leadership deliberately worked to consolidate unity, strengthen the party’s institutions, broaden consultations and encourage collective responsibility among members. He added that the APC remained the country’s strongest political platform because of the unity displayed by its members.

Yilwatda also attributed the party’s electoral victories during the past year to the dedication and commitment of its members, saying the results reflected the confidence many Nigerians continued to place in the APC.

He said the victories belonged to every loyal party member and showed that the APC remained the preferred platform for delivering progressive governance and national development.

The APC chairman also thanked President Tinubu for his continued confidence and support. He equally appreciated members of the National Working Committee, APC governors, elected officials, party leaders, stakeholders and supporters for their contributions to the party’s progress.

Looking ahead, Yilwatda said his administration would continue to strengthen internal democracy, modernise the party’s operations and improve engagement with members across the federation.

He added that the APC would remain committed to supporting President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda while preparing for greater electoral success in future elections.

The national chairman pledged to continue leading the party with humility, fairness, transparency and dedication. He also assured members that efforts would continue towards building a more united APC while contributing to Nigeria’s peace, stability and development.

Yilwatda became the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress on July 24, 2025.
