The party said it has no arrangement to support the candidate of any other political party and remains committed to presenting its own governorship candidate for the election.

Ebonyi State NDC Chairman, Hon. Enyinnaya Udensi Alum, described the reported endorsement as the action of former members who were expelled from the party over allegations of financial misconduct and activities considered to be against the party’s interest.

He stated that those individuals no longer belong to the NDC and therefore have no authority to speak or act on behalf of the party in any capacity.

Alum said the party would not support or endorse any governorship aspirant outside its own platform, either now or in the future. He advised members, supporters and residents of the state to ignore any announcement suggesting otherwise.

The chairman also warned party faithful against attending any gathering organised in the name of the NDC to endorse another political party’s candidate, noting that such actions would amount to anti-party activities.

He further urged the public not to recognise or engage with the expelled members, insisting that they no longer represent the Nigeria Democratic Congress in Ebonyi State.

The party reaffirmed that its attention remains on preparations for the 2027 governorship election and maintained that it will present its own candidate to seek the mandate of the people of Ebonyi State.
