INEC said preparations for the elections are ongoing within available resources, but the required budget for the nationwide exercise has not been provided.
The commission noted that election planning depends on timely financial support.
The electoral body explained that adequate funding is necessary to carry out key activities, including logistics, procurement, training of personnel and voter education before the polls.
INEC expressed hope that the necessary funds would be approved and released in good time to ensure smooth preparations and the successful conduct of the 2027 general elections.
