President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday commissioned the newly built Court of Appeal Judges’ Quarters in Katampe District, Abuja.

The project is part of ongoing efforts by his administration to improve judicial infrastructure and support governance reforms.

He was represented at the event by the Attorney General of the Federation, Lateef Fagbemi.
The President said the housing project reflects the government’s plan to improve the working and living conditions of judges.
He noted that a strong justice system depends not only on laws and courtrooms but also on proper welfare and facilities for judicial officers.

He added that better housing for judges supports fairness and efficiency in the justice system.
He also called on state governments to invest more in their own judicial institutions.
According to him, supporting the judiciary is a shared responsibility, and states must ensure courts within their areas are well equipped and properly maintained.
He further praised the Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike, for delivering the project.
Wike said judicial infrastructure should be a priority for all governors, noting that courts serve residents within their host states.
Court of Appeal President Monica Dongban-Mensem described the project as important for the independence and comfort of judges.
The estate includes 10 duplexes, security facilities, and other amenities designed to support judicial work.
