Speaking at a political gathering in Port Harcourt on Saturday, Wike said the state had benefited greatly from federal appointments and projects under the current administration.
He urged Rivers residents to compare what the state had gained since 2023 with benefits received under past governments.
According to him, the level of attention given to Rivers by the Tinubu administration was enough reason for continued support from the people.
Wike also called on politicians to focus on grassroots mobilisation instead of relying on media visibility.
He said elections are won at polling units, wards and local government areas, adding that the Rainbow Coalition was positioned to play a major role in future elections across the state.
The former Rivers governor appealed to aggrieved politicians to return and work together for the state’s progress.
He maintained that leadership should be judged by performance and commitment to development rather than ethnic or religious considerations, while assuring that Rivers people would protect their political interests peacefully.
