The family of slain Oyo teacher, Michael Oyedokun, has appealed to President Bola Tinubu to personally step into the case surrounding his killing by kidnappers in Oyo State.

His elder brother, Samuel Oyedokun, said the family had remained traumatised since the teacher was abducted and later beheaded.

He described the incident as a painful loss that had shaken every member of the family.
Samuel, who lives in the United States, said Michael was a calm and hardworking Mathematics teacher who loved his family and remained committed to his profession.
He explained that the late teacher never showed strong interest in relocating abroad despite efforts made to help him travel.

According to him, Michael was satisfied with his teaching career and family life in Ogbomoso.
The grieving brother revealed that the kidnappers never contacted the family for ransom before killing Michael. He said the disturbing video of the execution still haunted him daily and had left Michael’s wife and children emotionally broken.
The children, who are currently writing their WAEC examinations, are struggling to cope with the tragedy.
Samuel also criticised the security situation in the country, saying many kidnapped victims were still trapped in forests without rescue.
He appealed to the authorities to recover Michael’s remains and rescue other abducted persons still in captivity.
He added that the family wanted justice and stronger action against criminal gangs terrorising communities.
