Federal High Court Judge Dies After Sudden Collapse
Justice Mohammed Nasir Yunusa of the Federal High Court, Kano Division, has died after collapsing at his residence on Thursday evening.
He was later confirmed dead at a medical facility in Kano.
He reportedly slumped inside his living room at home before being rushed to hospital where doctors pronounced him dead.
His burial was carried out on Friday in line with Islamic rites.
Court officials in Abuja confirmed the development on Saturday, noting that he was laid to rest shortly after his passing.
Colleagues described him as hardworking and dedicated to his duties on the bench.
Justice Yunusa handled several major political and election-related cases during his time, including disputes linked to the 2023 general elections involving Labour Party candidates and the Independent National Electoral Commission.
