Officials stated that the former governor is receiving proper care in line with legal and custodial procedures.

They added that all necessary medical access arrangements remain in place as required under the law.

The response follows growing public concern and media reports about El-Rufai’s condition while in detention.

His family had earlier raised issues relating to access to doctors and welfare during custody.

The ICPC maintained that it continues to operate within established guidelines and urged the public to rely on verified information regarding ongoing legal matters.
