Suspected Boko Haram fighters have attacked Mussa Primary and Junior Secondary School in Askira Uba Local Government Area of Borno State, with 42 students and pupils feared abducted.

The incident was disclosed by Senator Ali Ndume, who represents Borno South. The attack has raised fresh concerns over insecurity in the region.

The assault reportedly happened when armed men invaded the school and disrupted academic activities.

Many students and staff were said to have fled in different directions during the chaos. Local sources said the attackers moved in large numbers, causing panic in the community.
