Suspected Boko Haram fighters have attacked Mussa Primary and Junior Secondary School in Askira Uba Local Government Area of Borno State, with 42 students and pupils feared abducted.

The incident was disclosed by Senator Ali Ndume, who represents Borno South. The attack has raised fresh concerns over insecurity in the region.

The assault reportedly happened when armed men invaded the school and disrupted academic activities.

Senator Ndume confirmed the incident and said efforts were underway to verify the exact number of missing children.

He called attention to the growing threat of insurgent attacks on schools in the North East. Security agencies have been alerted to the situation.


The development adds to a long list of school abductions in Borno State and surrounding areas. Residents have continued to call for stronger protection of schools and rural communities.
