Both leaders urged politicians to focus on service, sacrifice and national development instead of personal ambition.

Representatives of the two politicians said Nigeria needs leaders who can solve problems affecting ordinary citizens.

They pointed to insecurity, unemployment, inflation and poor healthcare as issues that require practical answers rather than campaign promises.

Obi also cautioned politicians against tribal politics and defecting after elections, describing such actions as betrayal of voters.

Kwankwaso’s camp blamed Nigeria’s struggles on leaders unwilling to make sacrifices or tell citizens the truth.

Supporters at the event called for unity, justice and honest leadership as political activities ahead of 2027 continue to gather pace.

They also expressed hope that Nigerians would eventually unite behind credible candidates.

The NDC leadership assured aspirants that the party’s primaries would be transparent and fair. The party also announced reduced nomination fees for women, youths and persons living with disabilities.

The summit ended with fresh coalition talks between Obi and Kwankwaso supporters, who pledged to work towards a joint presidential ticket for 2027.
