The student body said it plans demonstrations targeting companies such as MTN Group and MultiChoice Group following reports of fresh killings and violence against Nigerians.

In a statement signed by South West Zone D Coordinator, Adeyemo Josiah Kayode, NANS described the attacks as a repeated pattern of hostility against Nigerians living abroad.

The group said silence and delayed responses from authorities were no longer acceptable.

The protest threat comes as Cyril Ramaphosa dismissed claims of xenophobic attacks despite growing criticism from several African countries.

NANS said it remains open to dialogue but warned that Nigerian students would not stay silent while Nigerians continue to face violence.
